Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer

Position: Senior Software Engineer/ ABAP Developer

Location: Johnston, IA (100% onsite)

Duration: 4 months Contract

Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP ABAP to join our team in Johnston, IA. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain SAP solutions with a focus on Banking Services and Finance (FI) modules. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom SAP ABAP solutions using modern development practices (OOP, RICEF, CDS Views, RAP).
• Develop and maintain integration interfaces using OData, SOAP, RFCs, and API tools like Postman.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Leverage SAP BTP, CAP, and Fiori/UI5 to build cloud-ready and user-friendly applications.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and CI/CD pipelines using Git and modern DevOps tools.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge of RICEF objects, OOP, CDS Views, and RAP.
• Experience with integration technologies (OData, SOAP, RFCs).
• Familiarity with SAP FI or SAP Banking Services.
• Proficiency with development tools such as Git, Postman, and Eclipse/ADT.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, and Event Mesh.
• Hands-on experience with Fiori/UI5 development.
• Understanding of compliance requirements in financial systems.
• Exposure to Node.js or Java in a CI/CD environment.
