Job summary

Harris Computer seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and development of complex systems, mentor developers, and drive best practices across the team.

You will tackle challenging projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to the success of our business with strong cloud experience in Azure and AWS and a focus on scalable, robust solutions for healthcare, utilities and other verticals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software development and 3+ years as a Software Engineer focused on scalable systems.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive consensus among team members.
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural discussions, make design decisions, and ensure software architecture aligns with goals.
• Solve complex technical problems and make critical decisions on technology selection and planning.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and coding standards.
• Strong Cloud Experience (Azure & AWS) and AI-agent code development experience.
• Data system design and architecture experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer, this professional will lead the design and development of entire computer systems and application software. They will leverage their expertise to create scalable and robust solutions, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices across the development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our business. Must maintain all certifications as required by local professional associations.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Contribute to architectural discussions, make design decisions, and ensure that the overall software architecture aligns with business goals and industry best practices.
• Solve complex technical problems and make critical decisions related to technology selection, system architecture, and project planning.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the development team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
• Strong Cloud Experience (Azure & AWS)
• Experience with AI agent code development and integration into products
• Data system design and Architecture experience.

Requirements

Salary Range: $120 - 150K
