Job summary

CoBank is seeking a qualified IT professional to analyze, design, develop, configure, test, and debug enhancements and new implementations of applications. The role provides technical leadership for development projects and support for production environments, both during business hours and after hours.

The candidate will coach Software Engineers and Application Developers, conduct peer reviews, and ensure adherence to development methodologies with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field is required.
• At least 6 years of IT experience, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Experience designing, developing, configuring, testing, and debugging applications.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, configures, and tests changes to applications for CoBank according to standard methods and procedures.
• Provides workday and after-hours production support for custom and third party applications, including troubleshooting and code promotion to production.

Job Description

Analyzes, designs, develops, configures, tests and debugs enhancements and new implementations of custom and third party applications. Provides technical leadership for development projects, adhering to CoBank development methodology and producing appropriate supporting documentation. Provides business hours and after hours support for applications already in production. Provides technical direction and guidance to less experienced technical staff.

Essential Functions

• Designs, develops, configures, and tests changes to custom and third party applications for CoBank according to standard methods and procedures. Ensures the finished product meets the business requirements.
• Provides workday and after-hours production support for custom and third party applications, including troubleshooting, problem correction, testing, and code promotion to the production environment. Analyzes root cause of application issues and facilitates resolution by coordinating with the vendor, internal Information Technology (IT) and users as appropriate.
• Adheres to CoBank development methodology and produces all appropriate supporting documentation according to standards.
• Provides technical leadership for development projects.
• Coaches and assists Software Engineers and Application Developers.
• Conducts quality/peer reviews of technical project deliverables for other technical staff.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree required

• 6 years of relevant experience in information technology, preferably in the banking or financial services industry. required

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $148,500. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
