Job summary

Newlineinfo Corp - IT Services and IT Consulting is seeking a cloud-native AWS developer with strong Python-based AWS Lambda development experience. The role requires hands-on Lambda creation in Python from scratch, and a background in Java with a recent shift to Python and AWS.

Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of core AWS services and cloud-native development, experience with Terraform, and a proven track record of migrating and modernizing Lambda applications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building AWS Lambda functions in Python from scratch.
• Java development background but transitioned to Python with a focus on Python-based AWS development in the last 4+ years.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with Terraform (IaC) as the team moved away from CloudFormation.
• Python automation is valuable, especially for building and migrating Lambda applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize cloud-native applications using Python-based AWS Lambda.
• Build and migrate Lambda functions as part of modernization or rewrite initiatives.
• Contribute to architecture decisions around AWS services and cloud-native patterns.
