Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior software engineer to own the technical design and delivery of an AWS cloud-native application. You will lead feature work, design API connections, and drive production-quality delivery using serverless and event-driven architectures.

You will collaborate across teams, ensure secure coding and automated tests, and leverage AI-assisted tools like Amazon Q Developer to accelerate development. US citizenship and Public Trust eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Expert-level Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native development on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proficiency with modern languages and frameworks.
• Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with automated testing and secure coding.
• Ability to own the technical design and delivery of an application or solution area, including component design, integration, and delivery through production.
• Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Sole United States citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
• Preferred: An Amazon Web Services certification.
• Preferred: Serverless and event-driven development experience.
• Preferred: Federal information technology experience.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling.
