Job summary

Bitsight, a leading cyber risk management company, seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a backend-focused team. You will own end-to-end features for a SaaS platform, delivering robust, well-tested code in a fast-paced, high-trust engineering culture.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and modern Python frameworks to build scalable REST APIs and data services, collaborating across global teams and contributing to continuous improvement and system reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with Python and modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy.
• Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud computing environments (E.g., AWS).
• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

We are looking for a highly experienced and collaborative backend engineer and team player to join one of our multicultural Engineering teams, focusing on our Third Party Risk Management business.

Requirements:

• Ability to own loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with Python and modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy.
• Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud computing environments (E.g., AWS)
• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience building internal coding agents (e.g., ticket-to-MR, automated code review) and leading their rollout, including process design and team enablement.
• Solid experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools in daily workflows, including but not limited to Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor.
