Social Finance, LLC seeks Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems for financial technology platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable software services. Develop and maintain microservices using languages such as Java and Kotlin. Design and implement APIs and service interfaces (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) for distributed systems. Build and manage backend workflows and batch processing systems for large-scale data operations. Implement workflow orchestration and scheduling for reliable, fault-tolerant processing. Develop data integrations and pipelines across relational, NoSQL, and data-warehouse technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake). Contribute to distributed system architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability. Implement resilience features such as rate limiting, throttling, and fault-tolerance strategies. Improve observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting systems. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement system reliability improvements. Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and system quality efforts. Part‑time telecommuting is an option. Salary: $176,000.00 - $193,600.00 per year & standard company benefits.
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
