We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical initiatives and provide architectural direction across enterprise application development, cloud-native solutions, and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices patterns
• Build and optimize modern front-end applications with React, focusing on component-based architecture and state management
• Architect and deliver cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Integrate AI/ML platforms and services including Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, Document Intelligence, and Computer Vision into enterprise applications
• Design and implement secure applications, including authentication, authorization, identity management, and data protection strategies
• Establish and promote modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, and DevSecOps
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple development and technology teams
• Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, product managers, business analysts, QA teams, and executive leadership
• Develop innovative, scalable, and efficient technical solutions to complex enterprise challenges

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline
  • 9+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong background in enterprise application design and development
  • 7+ years of hands-on development experience using Java and Spring Boot, including design and implementation of microservices architectures
  • 7+ years of experience building modern front-end applications with React, including component-based architecture and state management frameworks
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, API gateways, and event-driven architectures
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Storage, Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Cognitive Services, and containerized platforms
  • Experience integrating AI/ML platforms and services, including Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, Document Intelligence, Computer Vision, or comparable technologies
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and high-availability design
  • Proven experience designing and implementing secure applications, including authentication and authorization frameworks, identity management, and data protection strategies
  • Strong command of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, and DevSecOps
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical initiatives and provide architectural direction across multiple development and technology teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience collaborating effectively with developers, architects, product managers, business analysts, QA teams, and executive leadership
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to develop innovative, scalable, and efficient technical solutions
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to combine strategic architectural thinking with hands-on technical execution
