About the Role:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Transfer Flow team, you'll help shape the core orchestration layer that powers our global remittance experience. This team plays a critical role in promoting rapid product development and personalized customer journeys by building a reliable and scalable product-platform. In this full stack role, you'll work across the stack, developing rich, intuitive user experiences while also driving scalable, backend architecture. You'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to simplify complexity, reduce technical debt, and empower faster delivery of high-impact features across platforms. You'll report to the Engineering Manager for the Transfer Flow team.

This is a hybrid role that requires 2-3 days onsite at our Seattle, WA headquarters.

You Will:

• Solve technical challenges with a customer-centric mindset.
• Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and difficult problems involving multiple technologies (TypeScript, React Native, Java/Kotlin, Go) and systems.
• Guide the team's technical strategy while leading, shipping, and operating full-stack features and systems.
• Drive engineering excellence by delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions, improving team processes, and contributing to cross-team technical designs.
• Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.

You Have:

• Strong computer science, web, and native app fundamentals, and knowledge of design patterns.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong mobile app development (Android, iOS, or React Native) experience.
• Expertise in one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.
• Excellent collaboration skills.

Compensation Details: The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000 - $225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
