Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager for InvestorTools Perform Platform Engineering in Jersey City. You will lead design, configuration, and customization efforts across the InvestorTools Perform platform, Credit Scope, and in-house portfolio construction apps, translating complex requirements into scalable technology-ready solutions.

As a leader, you will drive Agile delivery, oversee testing, and ensure seamless implementation either in-house or with vendors.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Fixed Income SMA with leadership in InvestorTools configuration and platform development.
  • Current working experience with Schwab systems and processes.
  • Expert driving platform capabilities across Task Scheduler, upgrades, custom reporting, and advanced business configurations for trading and portfolio workflows.
  • Leads requirements gathering and transforms complex business needs into scalable epics, user stories, and solutions; resolves critical production issues.

Responsibilities

  • Drive design, configuration, and customization of the InvestorTools Perform platform and related applications.
  • Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, business-aligned solutions.
  • Lead testing efforts and support user acceptance testing for high-quality, production-ready outcomes.

What you’ll do:

This Senior Manager – InvestorTools Perform Platform Engineering role is a high-impact position responsible for driving the design, configuration, and customization of the InvestorTools Perform platform, Credit Scope, and in-house portfolio construction applications. The role combines hands‑on execution with strategic oversight, partnering closely with product owners and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, business-aligned solutions.

Operating at the intersection of business and technology, this leader translates complex requirements into technology‑ready solutions and ensures seamless implementation—either in‑house or in collaboration with vendors. The role also plays a key part in Agile delivery, leading testing efforts and supporting user acceptance testing to ensure high‑quality, production‑ready outcomes.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of expertise in Fixed Income Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), with proven leadership in InvestorTools Perform configuration, customization, and platform development.
  • Current working experience with Schwab systems and processes
  • Recognized in‑house expert driving platform capabilities across Task Scheduler, upgrades, custom reporting, and advanced business configurations for trading and portfolio workflows.
  • Leads requirements gathering and transforms complex business needs into scalable epics, user stories, and solutions, while proactively resolving critical production issues.
  • Serves as a trusted vendor liaison and techno‑functional SME, influencing product direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Brings strong domain knowledge in municipal bond trading and SMA business processes to enhance investment operations and decision‑making.
  • Champions Agile delivery with expertise in developing epics, themes, user stories, and business rules.
  • Demonstrates strong data expertise with advanced SQL, data analysis, and data mapping capabilities.
  • Provides additional technical depth with .NET and object‑oriented programming experience.
  • Known for strong leadership presence, with excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
