Job summary

Schwab is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to lead a high-performing Scrum team within Advisor Services Platform Client Experience. You will help shape and deliver modern, scalable digital solutions that serve advisors across both customer-facing and backend platforms while working on-site in Austin, TX.

Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to drive agile delivery, foster technical excellence, and guide the team in building secure, reliable, and high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering with enterprise-scale apps.
  • Advanced C#/.NET hands-on experience.
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks (Angular/React).
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Led agile delivery and mentored engineers.
  • Security, reliability, observability, and compliance focus.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and CI/CD.

Within Advisor Services, the Move Money platform plays a critical role in helping Registered Investment Advisors securely transfer client funds and securities across accounts and financial institutions through streamlined digital experiences. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack .Net Engineer to lead a high-performing scrum team within Advisor Services Platform Client Experience. In this role, you will help shape and deliver modern, scalable digital solutions that enhance how advisors serve clients across both customer-facing and backend platforms.   • Collaborate with technical leads and business partners to define agile user stories for new capabilities
  • Write code hands-on, conduct code reviews, support testing, and resolve production issues
  • Apply strong software design expertise and sound engineering practices to design and implement effective solutions that incorporate predictive and adaptive capabilities
  • Support the design and delivery of new features and bug fixes
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth
  • Partner closely with developers, product owners, technical leads, and architects

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software development and engineering experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with C#/.NET application and service development, typically built through 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar front-end technologies.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and distributed multi-tier applications for high-volume, transaction-oriented platforms.
  • Experience designing and optimizing software development processes that improve quality, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience collaborating with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define requirements, decompose features, prioritize work, and deliver business outcomes.
  • Experience leading technical delivery efforts in an Agile environment, including solution design, estimation, delivery planning, and feature decomposition.
  • Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering best practices across a development team.
  • Experience developing secure, resilient, and highly available applications with a focus on operational stability, observability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with incident management, production support, root cause analysis, debugging complex issues, and technology risk mitigation.
  • Experience establishing or improving quality assurance practices, automated testing approaches, and test-driven development methodologies.
  • Experience designing and supporting data integration processes, application integrations, and software delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with OAuth security, relational database management systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and message broker technologies such as RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as PCF, GCP, or similar cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and full software development lifecycle delivery from design through production.
  • Experience using AI-powered developer tools, including GitHub Copilot or similar technologies, to improve development productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within financial services, wealth management, banking, payments, or money movement platforms.
  • Experience building AI-augmented engineering workflows that improve automation, validation, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience influencing technical strategy and driving initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives while balancing competing priorities and business objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience establishing engineering standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and championing innovation.
  • Experience applying cloud-native principles and modern software architecture patterns in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to develop strategic insights from complex business and technical information to support decision-making.
