Job summary

Bcore is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Springfield, VA, to design, develop, and test AI-enabled features across several software programs. You will integrate data streams, migrate cloud platforms, and build secure, scalable, mission-focused applications for the NGA customer mission.

The role requires active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, 8+ years' experience, and strong Python/Java/Scala skills, plus hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm experience in a DevSecOps context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or 6+ years IT experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python, Java and Scala.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Hands-on with Docker/containerization and microservices architectures.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, evaluates, plans and tests AI features across multiple software programs.
• Integrate multiple data streams into customer systems.
• Migrate cloud platforms and develop AI features for ontology-based applications.
• Work within an agile scrum team and participate in ceremonies.
• Implement backlog requirements and help write user stories.
• Apply DevSecOps practices including secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
