Job summary

Virginia Beach Schools under the leadership of a Team Leader analyzes, designs, develops, supports, implements, and maintains custom software applications across enterprise systems.

Essential functions include requirements analysis, project management for the full SDLC, data extraction, and collaboration with the IS SIMS team to deliver robust software solutions for K-12 environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; minimum six years in software development or enterprise systems.
• Experience with K-12 SIS, LMS, grade book and student assessment.
• Strong analytical, design, development and support capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements; develop design and programming specifications.
• Develop and manage complex systems development projects for the full SDLC.
• Analyze requests for custom software development and data requests and provide estimates.
• Develop, test, implement, and maintain custom software and system modules and interfaces.
• Develop complex data extraction routines from supported application.
• Manage and support enterprise application systems.
• Assist team members in their analysis, design, development, and support.
• Provide programming and data analysis support for custom applications.
• Provide troubleshooting support for escalated systems and application problems that cannot be resolved at a lower level.
• Perform related work as required.
