Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Software Developer III to join the SIS IT Development team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions for Liberty's Student Information System, with emphasis on IDM services and core SIS apps.

You will collaborate with leads, analysts, and peers to deliver secure, maintainable code. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development, strong front-end and back-end skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of software development experience.
Technical leadership: guide architectural decisions and lead technical discussions.
Full stack proficiency: React/Angular front-end and Java/Node.js/PHP/Spring back-end.
Strong design, testing (unit/integration/end-to-end) and DevOps familiarity (CI/CD).

Responsibilities

Write clean, efficient code and participate in code reviews.
Analyze code and identify bugs; resolve issues with logical reasoning.
Deliver code on schedule and adhere to processes.
Lead technical discussions and foster consensus among junior developers.
Apply analytical thinking to guide software design and user experience decisions.
