Responsibilities

Hexagon is looking for a Software Developer with responsibilities to develop solutions for SmartPlant products. This position can be located remotely in the Southeastern United States, Central or Eastern time.

  • Work as a member of an agile development team comprising software developers, certification and quality assurance, and technical writers to develop and upgrade products.
  • Involvement in the full lifecycle of software development using agile software development, methodologies including requirements analysis.
  • Designing and supporting implementation of enhancements including new functions, features and enhancements of the Smart Completions software product.
  • Enhancements include development of the cloud web-based solution which include GUI, reports, and dashboards. The mobile solution is continually being grown into a world class solution using the latest technologies.
  • Duties may include interaction with the planning/design organization, product requirements analysis, prototyping, and supporting the implementation and testing functions on all new releases and iterations.
Education / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in a remote capacity
  • Applicant must have practical experience in some of the following applicable software technologies:
    • Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS
    • Knowledge of some web client technology such as Angular, React or Vue
    • Knowledge of C#
    • Knowledge of SQL
    • Knowledge of REST API
  • Understanding of agile software development methodology (scrum)
  • Knowledge of cross platform frameworks such as Xamarin or MAUI preferred
  • Knowledge of Reporting (e.g.: Crystal reports) and dashboard software (e.g.: Power BI)preferred
  • Containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure App servicespreferred
  • This position can be located remotely in the Southeastern United States, Central or Eastern time.
