Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Software Developer III to support a Texas state agency client in a legacy modernization initiative. You’ll migrate data from Natural/ADABAS to Oracle 19c, embedded in an Agile Scrum team, and develop data migration scripts and Oracle views for Tableau BI.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into tasks, collaborating with architects and DBAs, and delivering documentation.

Qualifications

8+ years of software development experience on application projects.

Responsibilities

Assess user requirements and translate them into technical tasks and development scripts.
Identify data elements in a Natural/ADABAS application and establish new table structures in Oracle 19c.
Write and execute data migration scripts to move data to new tables.
Support, patch, and upgrade Natural, ADABAS, and CONNX software.
Develop Oracle database views for Tableau to support BI needs.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and DBAs.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and size tasks for sprints.
Write technical and user documentation.
Present work and findings to business owners and stakeholders.
