Job summary

WISEcode is building a data lakehouse platform and seeking an experienced Software Developer & Engineer to join as a senior IC. You will contribute to DuckLake on S3 Parquet, Postgres catalog, Prefect orchestration, and Python throughout in an early-stage setting where you define the work.

You will partner with data teams to implement end-to-end data pipelines, ensure data quality, and document architectural decisions. This role is fully remote with strong equity potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping a lakehouse or data warehouse from scratch.
• Experience with data identity and entity resolution as architectural concerns.
• Experience running batch data pipelines that call paid cloud APIs at scale with cost controls.
• Collaborative, fast-paced team player with daily pairing.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lakehouse implementation and collaborate on data/platform architecture.
• Build ingestion patterns for APIs, public sources, and external databases.
• Merge and preserve source records for traceability in published values.
• Consolidate enrichment pipelines into a single efficient process.
• Develop robust downstream connectors to feed data to apps.
• Maintain strict fail-fast config discipline in all environments.
• Establish ingest capabilities and quality reporting for readiness.
• Write concise, dated architectural decision records before coding.
