Job summary

Freedom seeks a Senior Software Developer to join a PRIME CONTRACT focused on enterprise applications used across government functions. The role involves modernizing legacy systems, automating business processes, and delivering secure, scalable solutions with a strong emphasis on mission-critical performance.

You will work across the full stack (JavaScript, Node.js, Java, AngularJS, Angular, Vue.js, MongoDB, SQL, AWS, Git) and mentor junior developers in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 12 years of software development experience; 16 years can substitute for a degree.
• Experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience with MongoDB or NoSQL databases
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the existing team to provide development and support for mission-critical Security Applications across the stack.
• Support and maintain 8 independent applications using Angular and Vue for UI development.
• Mentor junior developers as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Work with backend technologies including Node and Java to ensure seamless operation of critical applications.
• Provide application development and production support, addressing issues and optimizing performance for mission-critical functions.
• Contribute to the design of Enterprise Applications for robust, scalable solutions.
• Code, test, and troubleshoot applications deployed within a cloud infrastructure.
• Engage in agile development using Jira to deliver new functionality and modernize codebases.
• Use Git for efficient code management and collaboration.
