Job summary

Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build scalable distributed applications across frontend and backend. You will translate product and business requirements into system architecture and technical designs, and you will develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs and service integrations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.

• Deep experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, DynamoDB, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Experience designing and building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks, performance tuning, and highly available system design.

An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: clear communication across technical and business audiences, strong presentation skills, a self-driven approach to learning and knowledge sharing, data-driven problem solving, and experience mentoring junior team members.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience building and testing SOAP and REST APIs, including authentication and SSL/X.509


• Strong SQL skills, including PL/SQL and stored procedure development


• Experience with Oracle 11g/12c databases


• Familiarity with NoSQL or other non-relational databases
