Position Overview

Major JDEIS software efforts require senior development across the full software development life cycle. The Senior Software Developer leads integration, system testing, and special-purpose software development for JDEIS applications linked to JEL+. The role delivers and sustains the more complex software the doctrine and education enterprise depends on.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead full software development life cycle work for JDEIS applications.
• Develop and modify special-purpose software and reprogram or update existing applications.
• Create and maintain operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, and utilities.
• Lead integration and system testing and lead end-user training.
• Develop technical documents and handbooks representing application design and code.

Minimum Qualifications

• Lead full software development life cycle work for JDEIS applications.
• Develop and modify special-purpose software and reprogram or update existing applications.
• Create and maintain operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, and utilities.
• Lead integration and system testing and lead end-user training.
• Develop technical documents and handbooks representing application design and code.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior lead-developer role on DoD systems.
• Experience leading integration and testing for government web applications.
