Job summary

Redhorse Corporation seeks a Software Architect to lead architectural direction for mission-critical software. You will shape the big-picture design, explore alternative approaches, and document interfaces and models.

You will collaborate with product developers, managers, and customer experts, mentor teams, and ensure architectures meet requirements. Active TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Experience as a recognized technical authority on complex software problems.
• Proven track record designing and documenting enterprise-scale architectures.
• Extensive ability to translate high-level mission requirements into technical specs.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Articulate and champion the architectural vision for new and enhanced software products.
• Experiment with alternative architectural approaches to identify effective solutions.
• Create models, component specs, and interface documentation.
• Validate proposed architectures against requirements and assumptions.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and customer experts to integrate features.
• Provide expert technical advice across departments.
• Integrate complex components built by distributed teams.
• Lead and mentor planning analysts and developers.
• Pursue independent courses of action with wide latitude for judgment.
