• 20+ years of software engineering experience with system design and architecture.
• Experience designing distributed, scalable systems.
• Broad AWS cloud architecture experience with data plane and control plane systems.
• Ability to go deep technically while guiding broadly across teams.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex systems.
• Experience with data pipelines and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve system architecture across the platform, keeping it scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to design systems that balance fast delivery with long-term flexibility.
• Lead technical decisions and weigh trade-offs across performance, cost, and complexity.
• Turn ambiguous business or product needs into clear technical approaches and system designs.
• Spot architectural gaps, technical debt, and scaling bottlenecks, and fix them before they become blockers.
• Mentor engineers and act as a technical thought partner across teams.
• Evaluate and apply AI tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve the product and speed up internal development.
• Track advances in AI development and help the team adopt the ones worth adopting.
