7AI in Boston is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, scale, and secure the core cloud platform behind our AI-driven security products. You will own AWS regions, implement IaC, and collaborate with AI, backend, and product teams to deliver reliable infrastructure and faster shipping.

The role emphasizes scalable systems, observability, and automation, with a focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and secure, compliant deployments in a fast-growing security startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or software engineering roles.
• Experience collaborating with development teams and improving production code.
• Strong software development skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Deep experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions.
• Experience building observability and monitoring systems with Grafana or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure, high-performance infrastructure for our AI-native platform.
• Own AWS region expansion, harden systems for compliance, and improve elasticity, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Build tooling, services, and automation, including runbook automation and AI-assisted developer workflows, to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
• Partner with AI and backend engineers on deployment, CI/CD, observability, and performance optimization.
• Lead infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration initiatives that reduce toil and improve incident response.
