Job summary

Occidental Petroleum Corporation in Houston is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and enhance the Nexus digital platform. You will lead full-stack development, modernize applications, adopt cloud technologies, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions in an Agile environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes, and collaborate with product teams to meet security and performance goals while advancing our digital

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency in C# / .NET, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL Server.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Experience performing code reviews and mentoring developers.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Software Development & Architecture: design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications for the Nexus platform.
Technical Leadership: provide guidance, conduct code reviews, mentor developers.
DevOps & Cloud Engineering: design CI/CD pipelines, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Quality & Security: ensure secure coding, performance tuning, testing strategies.
Business Collaboration: work with product teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, support production.
