Job summary

Asurion seeks a Chief Architect in Nashville, TN to lead software architecture for high-traffic production platforms. You will stay hands-on in design reviews, guide security-by-design, and drive architectural standards across delivery teams.

You will chair architecture reviews, shape AI strategy, and partner with Data and Infra leaders to align architecture with business outcomes, cost, risk, and performance.

Qualifications

• H hands-on software architecture for high-traffic production systems.
• Deep DevOps expertise across CI/CD, IaC, automation, and release engineering.
• Security by design and threat modeling throughout the lifecycle.
• Experience leading architects/senior engineers and small teams.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Set and own architecture direction for high-volume platforms.
• Lead cross-team architecture projects meeting security and reliability standards.
• Chair architecture review forum and maintain decision records.
• Define design patterns, service standards, and reference implementations.
• Embed security by design into architecture and lifecycle.
• Set reliability and performance engineering standards at scale.
• Define and deploy delivery engineering standards (CI/CD, IaC, testing, progressive delivery).
• Lead remediation after production incidents.
• Own technical debt strategy and remediation roadmaps.
• Guide build-versus-buy and AI strategy from architecture standpoint.
• Collaborate with Data Architect on data/platform decisions.
• Translate architecture decisions into business outcomes.
