A leading semiconductor company is seeking a Software Architect for Automotive Sensors and Interfaces in San Jose. The ideal candidate will lead design proposals and establish data pipelines for advanced automotive systems. The position requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant automotive architecture experience. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of software architecture experience in automotive.

Responsibilities

• Lead design proposals for automotive systems.
• Establish end-to-end data control pipeline for ADAS.
• Implement time synchronization mechanisms across ECUs.
• Design software architecture from sensors to lowest level drivers.
• Optimize system performance and create performance margins.

Skills

Knowledge of modern EE architectures for automobiles

Expertise with high-speed serial interfaces for cameras

Experience in pipelined architecture with hardware acceleration

Experience in implementing safety and security mechanisms

Industry experience in architecting cockpit or ADAS systems

Hands-on experience with drivers for cameras

Knowledge of Android, QNX, and Linux camera processing

Experience with functional safety standards

Experience in document creation for SW architecture

Education

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
