Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of advanced software for material handling systems. You will architect scalable, high-performance software that integrates with WCS, WIS, and WMS while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires deep Linux/C++/JavaScript expertise, strong design pattern knowledge, and experience with Agile methodologies. Travel may be required, and a competitive salary plus benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C, C++, JavaScript within Linux (RHEL) server environments.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Proficiency in Git version control.
• Strong background in database design and management (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications for material handling systems.
