Job summary

Quanta Services’ QISG unit is seeking a Software Architect to define and lead the technical foundation across enterprise-scale software initiatives, including AI-driven workflows. You will set reference architectures, CI/CD practices, and robust security controls while guiding cross-functional teams.

Based in Katy, TX (Houston area), you will mentor engineers, collaborate with executives, and design scalable systems spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and data platforms to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience delivering full-stack systems in production.
• Knowledge of IAM, data classification, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical foundation for software architecture across QISG.
• Establish reference architectures, standards, and reusable frameworks.
• Lead CI/CD, testing, deployment, and production support best practices.
• Design full-stack solutions spanning frontend, backend, APIs, data, and integrations.
• Build scalable platforms for analytics, automation, and AI-powered workflows.
• Ensure security, governance, and enterprise alignment.
• Mentor engineering teams and translate strategy into scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with executives to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Capture repeatable patterns into shared libraries and accelerators.
