Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to set technical vision for AgentCore developer experience.

You will shape cross-service APIs, APIs, SDKs, and tooling, guiding architecture from local development to production operations. You will partner with principal engineers and product teams to drive durable designs, improve scalability, and mentor engineers across multiple services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and architecture for the AgentCore developer experience across APIs, SDKs, CLI, and tooling.
• Design cohesive abstractions and workflows to create a consistent end-to-end experience.
• Lead the design and delivery of developer-facing services from concept to production.
• Simplify integration of models, memory, identity, and environments with intuitive defaults and automation.
• Shorten the build-test-evaluate-deploy loop while preserving control for advanced builders.
• Build scalable control-plane and data-plane components for secure, cost-efficient developer experiences.
