Job summary

Amazon is hiring for the Developer Experience team in New York, NY. You will help revolutionize the developer experience for Amazon Ads by shaping scalable APIs, SDKs, and domain models that enable thousands of developers to integrate seamlessly with our ad platform.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with product teams to accelerate launches while maintaining high engineering standards across surfaces and tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years of design/architecture leadership for large systems.
• Experience as a tech lead or mentoring engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for Amazon Ads developer interfaces, designing scalable solutions that reduce feature launch complexity and maintain consistency across multiple surfaces
• Drive technical strategy for the Amazon Ads Domain Model, collaborating with product teams to ensure optimal API generation and SDK development
• Influence cross-organizational initiatives by building consensus on technical approaches and mentoring engineers to deliver high-quality, extensible systems
• Partner with Ads feature owners to identify launch strategies and implement solutions that accelerate time-to-market while ensuring robust operational practices
• Own team architecture decisions, providing system-wide design guidance and driving adoption of engineering best practices across the Developer Experience organization
