Job summary

NiCE seeks a Senior Software Architect in Utah to guide the design of client-facing products and internal platforms powering premium experiences. You will shape technical direction, spearhead API-first, cloud-native services, and contribute to our conversational AI platform.

You will own projects end-to-end, ensure scalability and security, collaborate with product and design, and raise engineering standards through code reviews and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in large-scale enterprise products.
• Strong C# development experience.
• Experience designing API-first, cloud-native systems.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD and dev-ops practices.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Overview

As a Senior Software Architect, you will play a critical role in building and evolving Verse's client-facing products and internal platforms that power a premium customer experience. You will help shape the technical direction of the product by designing scalable, API-first systems, shipping high-quality production code, and contributing to our conversational AI platform.

Typical day responsibilities

• Set the end-to-end technical direction for the team, including platform, technology, tools, and infrastructure
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape product strategy, scope, and technical execution
• Design and build API-first, cloud-native services that integrate with web clients, internal tools, and external partners
• Own projects end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Develop and maintain scalable, distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Contribute to the evolution of our conversational AI platform, including messaging pipelines, integrations, and data flows
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code while raising engineering standards through reviews and technical leadership
• Continuously improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers
• Identify ways to accelerate overall R&D throughput and quality using leading architectures and standards
• Communicate architecture in an effective and professional manner
• Drive technical decisions, solve tough problems, and coordinate multiple project execution
• Foster a strong teamwork environment and create passion and energy within the team.
• Represents self and department with professionalism and competence.

To Land This Gig You'll Need

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required
• 15+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of software development experience on large scale and high-volume enterprise products
• Strong understanding of developing in C#
• Experience architecting systems for performance and scalability
• Expertise in designing applications using relational and/or non-relational databases
• Working Knowledge of ci/cd
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Working Knowledge of design patterns.
• Working Knowledge of Agile development processes
• Strong quality orientation
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Experience

• MS in Computer Science
• 2+ years of software architecture experience
• 7+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Angular
• Experience building and operating systems on Azure, including services such as:
• SignalR, Storage Accounts, Logic Apps, Application Insights
• Practical understanding of machine learning concepts and how they apply to real-world products
• Experience integrating AI-powered features or working with data-driven systems is a strong plus
