Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Senior Software Architect to drive end-to-end technical direction for a cloud-native platform. You will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape strategy, design API-first services, and own critical projects from architecture to deployment.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in software development, deep C# expertise, and proven experience with scalable systems, RESTful services, and Azure. Strong communication and Agile practices are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience on large scale and high-volume enterprise products.
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Strong understanding of C# development.
• Experience architecting systems for performance and scalability.
• Experience designing applications with relational/non-relational databases.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of design patterns and Agile processes.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the end-to-end technical direction for the team (platform, tech, tools, infra).
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape strategy and execution.
• Design and build API-first, cloud-native services for web clients and partners.
• Own projects end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Develop scalable, distributed systems focused on performance, reliability, and security.
• Evolve conversational AI components, messaging pipelines, and data flows.
• Write clean, well-documented code and raise engineering standards.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and operational excellence.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across app, DB, and infra layers.
• Drive technical decisions and coordinate multiple project executions.
• Foster teamwork and maintain professionalism within the department.

Overview

As a Sr Software Architect, a typical day might include the following:

• Set the end-to-end technical direction for the team, including platform, technology, tools, and infrastructure
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape product strategy, scope, and technical execution
• Design and build API-first, cloud-native services that integrate with web clients, internal tools, and external partners
• Own projects end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Develop and maintain scalable, distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Contribute to the evolution of our conversational AI platform, including messaging pipelines, integrations, and data flows
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code while raising engineering standards through reviews and technical leadership
• Continuously improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers
• Identify ways to accelerate overall R&D throughput and quality using leading architectures and standards
• Communicate architecture in an effective and professional manner
• Drive technical decisions, solve tough problems, and coordinate multiple project execution
• Foster a strong teamwork environment and create passion and energy within the team.
• Represents self and department with professionalism and competence.

To Land This Gig You'll Need:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required
• 15+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of software development experience on large scale and high-volume enterprise products
• Strong understanding of developing in C#
• Experience architecting systems for performance and scalability
• Expertise in designing applications using relational and/or non-relational databases
• Working Knowledge of ci/cd
• Experience developing RESTful web services
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Working Knowledge of design patterns.
• Working Knowledge of Agile development processes
• Strong communication skills

• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Experience:

• MS in Computer Science
• 2+ years of software architecture experience
• 7+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Angular
• Experience building and operating systems on Azure, including services such as:
• App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Server, CosmosDB, Service Bus,
• SignalR, Storage Accounts, Logic Apps, Application Insights
• Practical understanding of machine learning concepts and how they apply to real-world products
• Experience integrating AI-powered features or working with data-driven systems is a strong plus
