Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Senior Social Worker at the Bristol Community Based Outpatient Clinic (Bristol CBOC).

You will provide evidence-based treatment and intensive case management to Veterans at an advanced practice level, addressing MH diagnoses and complex psychosocial needs. The role requires a MSW from CSWE-accredited program, advanced licensure, and a strong focus on interdisciplinary care to promote Veteran stability and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited program.
• License at advanced practice level as per state requirements.
• No substitution of doctoral degree for MSW.
• US citizenship and English proficiency per VA rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based treatment and intensive case management for Veterans.
• Perform psychosocial assessments and develop recovery-focused treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy within approved clinical privileges.
• Coordinate services with interdisciplinary treatment team and community partners.
• Support homeless Veterans with linkage to VA and community services.
• Mentor staff and students and provide supervision for licensure.
