Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Senior Social Worker (GS-12) to provide advanced clinical social work services to Veterans. The role includes biopsychosocial assessments, psychotherapy, case management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support community reintegration and recovery.

EDRP education debt reduction is available; telework and federal benefits apply where eligible, with a schedule of 7:30am–4:00pm and driving requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program is required.
• Must hold or be eligible for licensure at the advanced practice level.
• English proficiency for speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy and risk assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care, document assessments and progress, and ensure compliance with VA policies.
