Job summary

Pitt County Government seeks a skilled social worker to provide advanced casework and counseling to adults adjudicated incompetent, under guardianship. You will coordinate with guardians and community resources, applying applicable laws and treatment plans with a focus on functional improvement.

Qualifications include a MSW; relevant experience in case management, assessment, and psychosocial therapy. A valid NC driver's license is required; bilinguals encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.
• Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.
• One year of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced level casework, counseling and goal oriented services to adults adjudicated incompetent.
• Work with guardians and community resources; apply knowledge of laws and policies governing the program.
• Supervise, train, or instruct lower-level social workers, students, or interns when applicable.
