Job summary

The University of California- Davis Health seeks a Social Work Supervisor to oversee clinical and support staff delivering mental health services within Sacramento County jails. You will support the Program Manager in policy development, implementation, and evaluation, and perform clinical social work evaluations, counseling, case management, and crisis intervention.

This 100% on-site role requires an active CA LCSW, a Master’s in Social Work, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• CA Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) active and unrestricted.
• Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
• Clinical work experience in a social service, healthcare, jail, or correctional setting.
• One-year supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of DSM-5 and diagnostic criteria.
• Proven ability to manage conflict.
• Knowledge of employee coaching and counseling techniques and principles of progressive discipline.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply Collective Bargaining and Aff irm ative Action principles.
• Communication skills and ability to relate well with and motivate employees.
• Ability to promote, coordinate, and facilitate a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of child, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting requirements, and other significant legislation and laws regulating social work practice, e.g., Tarasoff, patient confidentiality, etc. Ability to make appropriate interventions based on law and policy.
