Job summary

University of California, Davis is seeking a Social Worker I to join the Adult Correctional Mental Health program in Sacramento. You will plan and conduct psychoeducational, social, cultural or arts-based activities to facilitate assessment, planning and treatment for patients under psychiatric supervision.

Core duties include evaluation, counseling, medication side effects monitoring, case management and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MSW and be licensed as an ASW within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in social services or healthcare settings with caseload experience.
• Knowledge of child, elder abuse reporting and related laws, confidentiality, Tarasoff.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and culture in practice.
• Proficiency with documentation, assessment, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• 80% GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES.
• 15% CONSULTATION with clinical teams and stakeholders.
• 5% PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT and training participation.
