1Password is seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to shape the global social presence for consumer and enterprise products, sports marketing, partnerships, and employer branding. You will craft social-first storytelling, own day-to-day publishing, and collaborate with communications, product marketing, brand, partnerships, and creative teams.

You will amplify company news, product moments, and culture storytelling externally, helping 1Password show up authentically as an employer.

• Excellent writing and editing with adaptable tone for diverse audiences.
• 3+ years managing social channels for a global brand (consumer and B2B SaaS).
• Experience publishing across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Reddit, Threads, Mastodon, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Ability to create high‑quality social copy and assets (carousels, short videos, motion‑friendly concepts).
• Experience directing video content and collaborating with designers, editors, creators, and spokespeople.
• Experience partnering with brand and creative teams on campaigns and content series.

• Ability to interpret analytics, spot trends, and refine strategy based on insights.

Senior Social Media Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to help shape the future of 1Password’s global social media presence, focusing on our consumer and enterprise password manager businesses, sports marketing, partner/channel, and employer brand. The role involves building brand love, driving awareness, and bringing products, campaigns, and partnerships to life through creative, social‑first storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Run consumer‑led social campaigns that reinforce trust, awareness, and emotional connection to the 1Password brand.
• Elevate the password manager business by driving visibility and understanding of 1Password’s consumer and enterprise products through clear, compelling storytelling.
• Support and activate sports marketing programs and brand partnerships with social‑first thinking, creative execution, and real‑time engagement.
• Support and activate partner programs with relationship building, social‑first thinking, and creative execution.
• Collaborate with communications, product marketing, brand, partnerships, creative, and people teams to support launches, campaigns, and ongoing brand initiatives.
• Work with internal stakeholders to amplify company news, product moments, and culture storytelling externally.
• Help shape how 1Password shows up as an employer on social, highlighting people, culture, values, and employee experiences in an authentic and human way.
• Create standout copy and social‑first assets like videos, carousels, and campaign concepts that simplify ideas and spark conversation.
• Own day‑to‑day social publishing, engagement, and moderation across key channels, ensuring content quality, consistency, and strong performance.
• Actively listen, engage, and participate in relevant conversations to help 1Password show up authentically and grow its community.
• Track KPIs, report on performance, and bring forward insights and recommendations to strengthen the social strategy over time.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writer and editor who can adapt tone and messaging for a wide range of audiences.
• 3+ years managing social channels and campaigns for a global brand, with experience spanning consumer marketing and B2B SaaS.
• Proven experience developing channel strategies and publishing content across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Reddit, Threads, Mastodon, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Skilled at creating high‑quality social copy and assets, including carousels, short‑form video, and motion‑friendly concepts that perform natively across platforms.
• Comfortable creating video content and directing others, working closely with designers, editors, creators, and internal spokespeople.
• Experience partnering closely with brand and creative teams to develop campaigns and content series that are visually strong, on‑trend, and culturally relevant.
• Experience managing or contributing to employee advocacy programs and using tools like Sprout Social.
• Ability to interpret social analytics, spot trends early, and use performance insights to refine strategy.
• A self‑starter who actively seeks out stories, opportunities, and moments to engage in a fast‑paced creative environment.
• Strong ability to collaborate across functional teams and provide creative accountability.

Salary and Benefits

• USA‑based roles only: Annual base salary between $93,000 USD and $130,000 USD, plus participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401(k), paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
• Canada‑based roles only: Annual base salary between $93,000 CAD and $130,000 CAD, plus participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, RRSP, paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
