About the role

As the Senior Social Media Manager at VSCO, you will play a crucial role as the bridge between our global community of creators, the broader photography industry and the VSCO brand. You will oversee our social media presence and strategy to increase awareness of and engagement with VSCO. Your work will directly impact our mission of nurturing creativity so photographers can make it.

The day-to-day

  • Manage @VSCO social media accounts on Instagram, YouTube, Threads, TikTok & more – including daily publishing, maintaining an editorial calendar, and engaging with creators.
  • Ideate, launch and optimize social media programming, such as influencer activations and new content series
  • Develop fresh and relevant social media strategies to support wider marketing initiatives like product launches, community events, etc. – ensuring alignment with our business goals
  • Report on social performance by using both qualitative and quantitative metrics
  • Share social insights with the broader organization and use influence to action opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Brand team, Evangelist and influencers/ambassadors to develop social media content, both planned and in-the-moment opportunities
  • Provide guidance to external partners (videographers, agencies) to ensure alignment with our brand guidelines, social best practices, community engagement standards, etc.
  • Identify social media trends and monitor sentiments to integrate VSCO into relevant community and industry conversations
  • Actively pitch and execute innovative brand ideas across social media channels

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in social media management in a similar role at a tech/consumer business or as a content creator
  • Experience managing business/brand accounts on Instagram, X and/or Threads & YouTube and/or TikTok
  • Experience with social media management and listening platforms, such as Sprout Social or Meltwater
  • Creative storyteller with the ability to develop channel-specific, thumb-stopping content
  • Proven track record of building engaged social communities and driving audience growth
  • Strong communication skills, both written and orally.

Compensation

The base salary for this position will vary based on several factors, such as relevant experience, location and your approved internal leveling assessed during the interview process. The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. This position also qualifies for equity (i.e. stock options) and is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance. The benefits available for this position include flexible time off, a 401K retirement plan, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short and long term disability), and 11 paid holidays. We also provide paid sick time as required by state and local law. Additional benefits and perks contained in our standard employee benefits package are also offered for this position.
