Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cybersecurity operations leader to serve as the SOC Manager and Deputy Program Manager supporting the DMDC and DHRA within OUSD P&R. The role leads a large, global enterprise with thousands of devices and hundreds of government applications, coordinating across CSSPs and internal teams.

The successful candidate will mature cyber defense capabilities, mentor professionals, and ensure timely awareness of significant cybersecurity events to government leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in cybersecurity operations, cyber defense, incident response, or SOC leadership.
• Experience leading enterprise SOC/Cyber Defense teams.
• Proven incident response leadership in large, complex environments.
• Experience developing SOC procedures, playbooks, workflows, and metrics.
• Strong communication of risks and status to senior government leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational management of the SOC.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity team responsible for monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Direct enterprise cyber incident response ensuring rapid detection, containment, and reporting.
• Interface with Government leadership for SOC activities and status updates.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOC procedures, playbooks, workflows, and training.
• Establish priorities and metrics to improve SOC effectiveness and analyst readiness.
• Coordinate defense activities across government, contractors, and CSSPs.
• Oversee continuous monitoring across networks, cloud, and applications, mitigating threats.
