Job summary

Dunhill Government Solutions seeks a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead both strategic direction and daily operations of the federal agency's cybersecurity defenses. This onsite role in Ashburn, VA coordinates a team of analysts and engineers responsible for monitoring, detection, analysis and response to threats and incidents protecting sensitive data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in a SOC leadership role.
• CISSP required; GIAC certifications also considered.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM and EDR platforms and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight for all SOC activities, ensuring 24/7 readiness of monitoring, detection and response
• Serve as the senior escalation point for the incident response lifecycle, from initial detection through resolution and post-incident review
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of security analysts and engineers
• Develop and mature SOC strategies, processes and technologies to strengthen the security posture over time
• Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on SOC performance, metrics and emerging threat trends
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance and leadership to align security initiatives with mission objectives
• Ensure strict adherence to government and agency-specific policies, procedures and compliance requirements
