Job summary

IDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to join one of our top clients in a remote capacity.

The role serves as a senior escalation point within the SOC, leading complex investigations and driving improvements in detection and response for a large enterprise in the professional services/public sector space. You will lead investigations across endpoints, networks, identities, cloud, and applications; perform threat hunting and detection tuning; mentor junior analysts and codify playbooks to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/SOC experience with advanced incident investigation and response responsibilities.
• Strong experience with SIEM/XDR platforms (e.g., XSIAM) and building/tuning detections.
• Threat hunting, incident escalation, and root-cause analysis across endpoints, networks, identities and cloud.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST-aligned incident response practices.
• Security certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GCFE/GCDA, CISSP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and response for complex, high-visibility security incidents across multiple environments.
• Perform threat hunting, detection tuning, and root-cause analysis to improve monitoring.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery activities with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and refine incident response playbooks and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide escalations and investigation techniques.
