Job summary

Apple in Cupertino is seeking an embedded software engineer to design firmware, device drivers, and system‑level software for upcoming chips and boards. You will work with silicon teams to craft specs, develop drivers for IP blocks, and ensure integration testing from code to hardware.

Requires BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; strong C/assembly on ARM, Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA experience, and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree plus 10 years embedded firmware experience.
• Strong C/assembly on ARM CPUs and Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge.
• Experience with FPGA, HW bring-up and IP block drivers.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl).

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware, device drivers, and system‑level software for current and future chips.
• Collaborate with silicon teams to craft specifications and run hardware/software integration tests.
• Design and integrate code into shipping products under tight timelines; strong debugging required.
