Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a results-oriented firmware design engineer to develop firmware in C for IPs inside SOC, understanding specifications to implement critical features that power Apple devices.

You will support post-silicon bringup, validation, performance characterization, system integration and debugging. Preferred background includes ARM-based FW, RTOS, RTL/Verilog, and strong communication skills; base pay ranges from $150,400 to $225,300 depending on experience

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline with years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C and assembly language with ARM CPUs.
• Understanding of MCUs and ISR.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture.
• Experience with version control tools (git, Perforce).
• Experience with real-time operating system is a plus.
• Understanding of mixed signal concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with RTL or Verilog is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

In this job you will be responsible to develop firmware in C to implement critical FW features for IPs inside SOC. You will be required to understand IPs by reading their specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree in technical discipline with years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven excellence in FW development using C and assembly language with ARM CPUs.
• Solid understanding of MCUs and ISR.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture.
• Experience with version control tools (git, Perforce) is a plus.
• Experience with real-time operation system is a plus.
• Understanding of mixed signal concepts is a plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
