PrizePicks is seeking an experienced SOC engineer to own detection, monitoring, and IR playbooks. You will lead threat hunting, enhance forensics, and drive automation across cloud and on‑prem environments.

This hands-on role requires strong scripting, MITRE ATT&CK knowledge, and clear written documentation. The position offers a competitive salary in the $160k–$175k range with benefits, and allows remote work within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a SOC, IR, or detection engineering role.
• Hands-on with SIEM log ingestion and tuning.
• Experience with cloud forensics & evidence handling.

Responsibilities

• Own detection and monitoring of SIEM alerts.
• Design and improve incident response playbooks.
• Lead threat hunting efforts.
• Strengthen digital forensics capabilities.
• Drive automation for triage and response.
• Coordinate incident response across partners.
• Document incidents and root causes.
• Lead post-incident reviews with actionable items.
• Shape IR metrics and escalation paths.
