Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Tier 2 SOC Analyst to support a federal government customer in Washington, DC. The position requires working in a 24x7x365 SOC environment, with Day Shift Team A (7 AM–7 PM Mon–Wed and every other Sunday).

All work is onsite at the client site in Washington, DC. You will monitor security events, conduct triage, collect and preserve digital evidence, and collaborate with teams to improve security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years cybersecurity experience.
• IAT Level I certification (8570 Baseline).
• Clear understanding of Tier 2 duties and incident response.
• Strong communication to audiences with varying technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic for security events and triage incidents.
• Collect, analyze, and preserve digital evidence per SOC processes.
• Collaborate with teams to improve security posture and remediation.
• Conduct host forensics, EDR, log analysis, and PCAP reviews.
• Identify IOCs and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports for knowledge transfer.
