Job summary

GDIT Colorado Springs seeks a SOC Analyst I to provide around-the-clock monitoring and response for government missions. You will analyze security events, perform incident handling and malware analysis, and work with SIEM and log-management tools across diverse systems.

Requirements include strong background in cyber threats, professional experience, and TS/SCI with CI poly. A related degree or equivalent experience is expected, with CEH and other certifications preferred. Total Rewards offered.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of cyber threats and information security in the domains of TTPs, threat actors, campaigns and observables.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/log management, intrusion detection systems and endpoint threat detection tools.
• Experience in incident handling, triage, and malware analysis within a SOC context.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 Computer Network Defense and Response support and monitoring.
• Lead incident handling, hunting, triage and malware analysis activities.
• Analyze security events to distinguish incidents from non-incidents and implement countermeasures.
