Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior SOAR Engineer to design, implement, and optimize security automation solutions that enhance threat response and SOC efficiency. You will work with SOC, IR, threat intel, and engineering teams to automate workflows and integrate a broad set of security technologies.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop scalable playbooks, and contribute to engineering best practices while staying current on evolving SOAR solutions and cloud-native security capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–4 years in security automation or SOAR engineering
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SOAR platforms (Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Swimlane)
• Strong coding and scripting in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, web services, SDKs, and custom integrations
• Knowledge of security operations processes: alert triage, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management
• Experience integrating SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, cloud security, threat intel, and ticketing platforms
• Understanding of Azure, AWS, and GCP; infrastructure and networking familiarity

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated security workflows for SOC operations
• Integrate security tools, data sources, and processes across the cybersecurity ecosystem
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Threat Intelligence, Detection Eng, and Vulnerability teams
• Design and develop playbooks for incident triage, enrichment, containment, remediation, and reporting
• Develop custom integrations, APIs, connectors, and automation across cloud environments and enterprise apps
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to automation standards and best practices
• Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and automation trends
