Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Snowflake Administrator to manage and optimize the Snowflake data platform, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data operations. You will control access, monitor performance, automate routine tasks, and collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate Snowflake across systems.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of Snowflake administration, 5+ years IT experience, and proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience administering and managing the Snowflake data platform.
• Experience with DevOps or automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage Snowflake accounts, user access, roles, privileges, and security configurations.
• Optimize platform performance, query execution, resource allocation, capacity, and costs.
• Automate routine platform activities, including schema creation, access provisioning, and account-level object management.
• Partner with data engineers, architects, and analysts to integrate Snowflake with data systems and applications.
• Enforce security, encryption, compliance, and data protection requirements across the Snowflake environment.
• Diagnose and resolve Snowflake infrastructure, data pipeline, and integration issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation and provide training and support on Snowflake best practices and new features.
• Support disaster recovery planning and new feature enablement in partnership with vendors, IT, and Security teams.
