Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions for enterprise analytics. You will build scalable ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpark, while tuning performance and implementing governance controls.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering with deep Snowflake experience and strong SQL, Python, and CI/CD skills. Remote options within the US are available, with a focus on Cortex-enabled analytics

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Experience with SQL development and complex queries.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and performance optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake-native capabilities (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables).
• Experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, IaC, and production support practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions supporting analytics and reporting.
• Build scalable batch and near real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL-based solutions, including stored procedures and UDFs.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and reliability.
• Implement secure data solutions with RBAC and governance.
• Support integrated data warehouse, data mart, and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
• Provide production support, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Support AI initiatives leveraging Snowflake Cortex and related features.
